It is crucial that women leaders are not sidelined in the post-pandemic era. There need to be more women from diverse groups at the table, with real decision-making power. If organisations want to build resilience, innovation and agility into their culture, they need to shift to more humane, relational leadership styles even after the pandemic.

Women Leadership in VUCA TimesNearly two years into the unprecedented pandemic, women and women leaders in the corporate space are increasingly burning out, even more than the men in the workforce. Yet, women leaders have stepped up to the challenges posed by Covid-19, demonstrating resilience and emotional intelligence in managing the professional, personal and even social fronts with unrelenting focus and dedication.

Women leaders have effectively led organisations on the employee well-being, diversity, inclusion, equity and engagement goals while also navigating the crisis. In other words, women have emerged as stronger, braver and focused leaders. However, their work remains under-recognized and under-rewarded. There are far fewer women at all levels of management with several being ‘only’ representatives.
