Uno Minda Limited has appointed Rakesh Mehta as Chief Human Resource Officer (“CHRO”) of the Company effective from April 12, 2024.
Before this appointment, Rakesh was associated with JSW Energy as Executive VP and Head -HR. During his tenure, he was spearheading Cultural Transformation through designing and driving HR best practices in the Energy business.

Rakesh Mehta is a passionate & astute professional with close to three decades of experience in leading effective Human Resources teams, developing HR frameworks and strategies for large organizations. A highly knowledgeable and business-savvy resource who has expertise in Cultural transformation, Employee Relations, Mergers & Acquisition, and Establishing effective People Practices, Compensations and Benefits. Having effective stakeholder management and communication skills, Mehta has implemented transformation initiatives with consensus of senior leadership, board members and workers in unionized as well as non-unionized environments and ensured high level of employee engagement. He has closely worked with major unions like INTUC, CITU, BMS, and internal unions throughout his journey. He has successfully led HR & IR functions at Reliance Industries, General Motors, Asian Paints, Crompton Greaves, Rallis India, and Gujarat Guardian.
He has done M.SC (Barkatullah University, Bhopal), Diploma in Labour Laws & Labour Welfare (Poona University, Pune) and Masters in Personnel Management (Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune).
