When you look back the starting point of your career, how this journey has been and how you could break the glass ceiling?
VS I still remember my first class as a teacher more than two and half decades ago, wherein the average age of the student was more than mine and it has been very exciting journey full of learning till date. It is not easy for women as work-life balance is a major challenge. Even though diversity and inclusion have become the buzz words in organisations today, glass ceiling still exists the situation has improved in recent times with the number of women in C-level suite positions increasing over 10 percent in the last five years. In Academic fraternity luckily there is a very fair representation of women at the entry level. Today out of 20 IIM’s we have three women Directors, however, all these appointments happened in last 4 years only after more than six decades of existence.
Some of the ways to break the glass ceiling is to actively seek feedback and mentor who can help you in creating an action plan...
