(PTI): Rashmi Govil, is set to take over as Director (Human Resources) at the state-owned company Indian Oil Corporation.(IOC) . Following interviews with eleven candidates, five of whom were from IOC, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), the government headhunter, recommended her for the role.
Rashmi has almost thirty years of expertise and is currently the Executive Director (HRD & ER) at IOC. Her appointment serves as a replacement for Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, who was turned down for an eight-month extension of service until he reached superannuation age.
She is avid learner with a passion to drive excellence through people-centric leadership and a firm believer in the power of human mind to accomplish the extraordinary.

Rashmi is a HR professional having three decades of experience in entire gamut of HR with expertise in HR Strategy, L&D, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Digital Adoption and HR Ops.Graduate from Bundelkhand University and PG Diploma in Finance and an MBA with a focus on human resources , Rashmi joined IOC in 1994. She had a thorough understanding of employee relations from her early work managing industrial relations in a refinery setting
Fostering an inclusive work culture in a Fortune 500 integrated hydrocarbon major with a diverse workforce of 30k+ spread across geographies. Rasmi Led numerous high impact change initiatives in the areas of Holistic Employee Well-being, Succession Management, Strategic Workforce Planning, Performance management, HRMS, Talent acquisition, R&R and e-L&D for an unequivocal employee experience.
She has notably led strategic projects at the corporate office of IOC and has been instrumental in the successful implementation of SAP solutions for HR across the entire organisation. She has also successfully negotiated large-scale, long-term salary settlements with 25 IOC unions.
Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, Rashmi re-examined and updated several regulations to better suit the changing circumstances. It is anticipated that her strategic leadership and broad knowledge would help IOC maintain its success in the ever-changing HR sector.
