Chhattisgarh High Court in S.K. Dwivedi vs. Steel Authority of India Ltd., Bhilai Steel Plant, Through the Managing Director, Bhilai Steel Plant, Ispat Bhavan, BhilaiWPS No. 4000 of 2009, on February 3, 2023, observed that the act of imposition of penalty by the employer on the employee without holding any domestic enquiry against the employee is against the principles of natural justice and the settled legal position holding the field.
