Punishment approval once approved by the industrial tribunal, will be binding on all parties: Supreme Court

Supreme Court in Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation vs. Bharat Singh Jhala C.A No. 6492/2022, observed that once the application for approval of punishment order made by employer under Section 33(2)(b) of Industrial Dispute Act, 1947 is approved by the industrial tribunal on appreciation of evidence led before it proving the misconduct on the part of workman, no contrary view can be taken by the labour court to the findings recorded by the industrial tribunal.
