Poonam Burman has Joined Godrej Industries Ltd. (Chemicals) as Chief Human Resource Officer.
She has confirmed this development through a social media post stating,” I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals)! Humbled by warmth, care and love showered by Godrej Industries colleagues!”
Before this appointment, Poonam was associated with Unilever as Business HR Leader- Beauty & Well Being and Personal Care Business Group.

With having 27 years’ experience in Strategic HR Business partnering in varied industries like FMCG, IT Product development, Automobiles, Textiles, Oil & Gas Engineering services, Mining products and services, Telecom, Poonam has worked closely with business leaders to conceptualize and execute HR Process and policies aligned to business needs.
She is passionate People Enabler and enjoy working on Change management, Coaching Line managers, turning around people practices from reactive to proactive sustainable engagements and high-performance culture.
She has also successfully handled mergers and post-merger integration with specialization in OD intervention for Team Effectiveness and have led gender diversity programs across functions with special focus on frontline roles. I also champion the inclusion and diversity agenda for community development programs.
Having done PG in Personnel Management from XISS and HR Executive Programme from Ross School of Management, University of Michigan, Poonam has worked with Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, Lexmark International, Orica Mining Services, Reliance Communication, Indian Oil Tanking Ltd, Indian Rayon and Hindustan Motors Ltd.
