Pension and gratuity of employee cannot be attached: Telangana HC

Telangana High Court in Smt. N.R Indira vs. The State of Telangana W.P. No. 1034/2021, observed that the pension and gratuity amount of a retired employee cannot be attached for satisfaction of a decree of any Court by placing reliance upon the Supreme Court judgment given in RadheyShyam vs. Gupta vs. Punjab National Bank1 (2009) 1 SCC 376, wherein it was held that the pension and gratuity of the employee cannot be attached and cannot be withheld for appropriation of a decree of any Civil Court.
