Policies established at the outset of a company's existence are often not revisited, making it more difficult for that company to adapt to its environment, therefore, needs regular review so that businesses can evolve with the times and become more progressive and employee-friendly.

What is your perspective on the state of DEI in Indian Organisations? Is it limited to lip service in most cases to talk about and little happening on the ground?

SN The only way for organisations to thrive in today’s dynamic and rapidly changing global landscape is to establish workplaces where all employees feel valued and appreciated. Organisations will only be able to recruit and retain the best talent if they create more inclusive work environments. This will also help them improve customer focus, employee satisfaction, and strategic thinking, all of which will lead to greater financial success. That said, the importance of diversity and inclusion has grown in India in recent years, with more and more organisations working to create more inclusive and equitable workplaces, but there is still a long way to go. Though various organisations are at different phases of evolution in their DE&I journeys, I can assure you that everyone is working toward this critical goal.
