Do you feel that business leaders and HR’s focus is now back on people? What are the possible reasons for change in this paradigm shift?
HS People have always been important for leaders who have believed in purpose driven, passion fuelled, led by people organisations. The difference today is that people are front and centre of organisations that are looking to survive and thrive. Growth is only possible if the leader is deeply connected with their people through head, heart and hand. HR has pivoted quickly to put laser sharp focus and spotlight on people, its differentiator asset.
In 2020 while many organisations were hesitant in even paying wages to their employees during lock down and lakhs of migrant labours were left unsupported, in 2021 most organisations have come forward to support employees and families financially and emotionally. How do you explain this mindset change?
