During covid pandemic turmoil, most people have been through isolation, depression and anxiety, which are certainly going to reflect in their work attitude. How HR should address this challenge?
VM While maintaining social distancing certainly helps in controlling the pandemic, it has its own repercussions. Social distancing leads to issues like depression and anxiety amongst employees as most of them have to stay alone without much social support. We drifted from joint families to nuclear families which further led to isolation at home.
In our interactions we are observing that employees are getting much more anxious and restless as they are finding it difficult to manage this issue by themselves. We cannot blame them and we should not expect them to solve this issue by themselves as none of us have experienced this kind of situation in our lifetime.
