Medical claim of emergency treatment not to be denied to Govt. employee for want of non empanelment of hospital

Delhi High Court in Union of India & Anr. vs Shri. Joginder Singh (W.P.(C) 10684/2022) ruled that the medical claim of a Government employee for reimbursement of treatment undertaken in emergency situation should not be denied merely because the hospital was not empanelled with Central Government Health Scheme facility, however the claimant has to prove that the emergent situation exist and the same was based on doctors advice.
