What prompted employers to embrace Hybrid work model? What can be the benefits and pitfalls in shifting to this work model?
RP COVID left the world with no choice but to embrace virtual work. Indeed, some organisations would never have considered deviating from the classic “in the office every day” work model. But, after functioning completely from home for almost two years, it is now almost inconceivable to imagine a workplace which is not hybrid (for jobs that can be done remotely). The evidence is crystal clear. Research1 by Future Forum reveals that globally, more than two-thirds (68%) of those surveyed now say that their preferred work environment is hybrid. A two-year study by Great Place to Work® of more than 800,000 employees at Fortune 500 companies found that most reported a stable or even increased productivity levels after employees started working from home. This clearly reveals that there is a good intersection between what employers want and what employees need in the hybrid work model.
