Labour Codes need to be given decent burial !

Even before the implementation of the Labour Codes as already enacted but not implemented, India is going to be the hub of the manufacturing sector in the years to come. Investors from all over the world are ready to make the huge investment that will impetus to the economy of the country. US chipmaker Nvidia Corp. on 8.9.2023 announced separate partnerships with Reliance and Tata Group companies to help them develop AI-powered supercomputers. India has long-established ties with developing nations and more recently is rapidly strengthening its partnerships with western nations such as France, Australia, and the US. Thus, it used the G20 as a platform to advocate for itself as a voice for the Global South that is capable of playing a bridging role to convey the needs of the developing world to western leaders. The credit for it must go to the peaceful industrial and labour atmosphere that is prevailing in the country.

Labour Codes have lost their relevance in the present circumstances, particularly after Covid. Labour scenarios across the country appear to be peaceful....
