Organisations have to manage the change process step by step. Abrupt changes will invite resistance. To start from the leadership is the best approach.

What prompted employers to embrace Hybrid work model? What can be the benefits and pitfalls in shifting to this work model?

YB During the pandemic the situation forced organisations to think and act differently. As a result, the option of working from home was used widely and globally. Indian organisations were part of the process. IT companies were the first to adapt it and then followed by most of the companies across the sectors. Even the family run small companies with manufacturing operations were also forced to be open for it willingly or unwillingly. When implemented, it was seen successful and effective hence has been adopted as a good practice.

Benefits :

1) Flexibility.
2) Work life balance.
3) Resource optimization.
4) Better talent acquisition, management and retention.

Pitfalls :

1) Daily work monitoring and control is a challenge.
2) Possibility of facility mis use by select few employees.
