IR professionals have to play a role of protector, enabler and crusader
IR landscape is going to witness unprecedented shift in terms of higher expectations from IR Managers post COVID. They are expected to embrace the new situation with better counselling and management skills.

Visualising at the post covid business scenario, would IR/ER front also be changed or will remain same and if yes, what changed dimensions do you foresee emerging in industrial Relations/Employee relations?

HR function is no exception it has severely impacted because of the human is at the core of business activity. So far ER/IR has managed employee relations in harmonious and supportive way. Going forward ER/IR has to develop resilience, empathy and be more communicative.

Covid -19 situation is unique and real test in VUCA world and therefore management of change is the only way to go. Survival and the sustenance is the name of the game for most of businesses. ER/ IR is playing a role of protector, enabler and crusader to manage to situation.
