The 5th industrial revolution, also known as Industry 5.0, has thrown the spotlight back on many aspects of life and the planet that have been much talked about over generations. Although there have been remarkable advances in this direction, they are yet to gain the desired traction. This is an emerging phase of industrialization which is looking at technology working alongside human beings to not only improve efficiencies but keeping human wellbeing at the centre stage along with social and environmental obligations. Before we dwell further, we need to understand the various Industrial Era and its evolution in the past.

First industrial revolution in the 18th century, around the year 1780 marked the advent of mechanization powered by water and steam power. Despite improving productivity, it also entails harsh working conditions for employees. The well-being of workers was negatively affected by long hours, low wages, and inadequate safety measures.
