A right balance between freedom and restriction needs to be designed so that everyone behaves in a manner which is aligned to companies culture.

Do you think that with the rise of diversity and Inclusion at workplace, there is also rise in workplace romance in organisations? If that is so, how do you view this phenomenon?

AM It’s reality that, diversity and inclusion is getting embraced across the corporate landscape. This is a good phenomenon and this practice is leading to more vibrancy & excitement at the work place.

Yes, with the influx of young talented work force both male and female, one can witness romance in the air. The diverse workforce has led to more interaction/communication and bonhomie resulting in closer relationships.

I am of the firm opinion that the diversity & inclusion will only benefit the organisation. The romance at the work place can make working environment stress free and enjoyable. However, an organisation needs to create policies and procedures to ensure discipline/amicable relationships befitting organisation culture.

Should HR and leadership keep themselves away from this treating it purely a personal matter...
