Higher Courts Cannot Act on Termination Arising from Private employment Contracts : SC

Supreme Court, in Zahid Showkat Alias Mir vs. Joint Secretary, Prime Ministers Office &Ors. W.P.(C) No. 493/2024, on September 20, 2024, dismissed a writ petition filed by an ex-employee of Google regarding religious discrimination. The Court observed that since the cause of action arose from a private employment contract, recourse to Article 32 of the Constitution of India would not apply.
