SM What I have seen in my experience is that people management skills are extremely important to create a positive work environment in teams, align employees with company goals, and improve overall employee retention. A manager with good people managerial skills will be able to improve the team’s productivity, build strong relationships, and develop cross-functional teams which in turn help improve employee engagement and retention. Good people managerial skills can also help transform a dysfunctional unit into a high-performing unit.
