Women don't get mentors who can guide them to take up leadership positions. Networking benefits also are not that easily available to women due to societal norms that take place outside working hours. The preconceived notion about women's capabilities needs to be removed.

What are the most significant challenges/barriers that women face in today’s workplace? What has been your experience?

SS In a world striving for equality women frequently encounter stereotypes that undermine their talents, skills, and abilities, particularly in male-dominated sectors. The common stereotype thinking can be observed in recruitments, promotions, and daily encounters over petty issues. Being a woman employee requires managing work commitments along with family responsibilities which is always an enormous pressure on a woman. The stereotypical standards of society and cultural expectations of being a woman admired by everyone, frequently influence the roles women are expected to perform, both at work and at home, restricting their professional options and advancement. Women are often seen earning less than their male counterparts for the same roles and responsibilities, the reason being that to date gender pay gap persists despite laws and enactments.
