Future Employee Relations Will Be Governed by Social Media
Common causes that are adverse unite workforce in a very special way. Organisations need to be mindful of any adverse occurrence and think of a risk mitigation strategy before it becomes a common issue.

How has the rise of the gig work model transformed traditional employer-employee relationships? How inclusivity and engagement can be ensured?

ED Gig workers are those who perform tasks or services for clients/companies outside of the traditional employer-employee relationship. There are broadly two kinds of Gig Workers : platform-based and non-platform-based. Platform based are those who work on digital platforms and are largely online, where as non- platform workers are those who were actually there much before the term came into being, for example casual labour, unorganized labour like drivers, maids, gardeners, cooks, plumber, electricians.

The past decade has seen many people in regular employment being offered VRS. Suddenly they found themselves without a role and livelihood, though they had skills. The emergence of online platforms led to them organising themselves into Gig workers. With this, the Gig workers found themselves accountable for outcomes rather than just clocking time.
