Kerala High Court in Saheer S vs. Union of India [WP(C) No. 8979 of 2023] while considering the plea of employees pertaining to their entitlement for higher pension under the Employees Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, passed an interim order directing Employees Provident Fund Organization to modify its online system to allow employees/pensioners to furnish options in tune with the directions of the Supreme Court, without producing copies of the option selected under para 26(6) of the Employees Provident Fund Scheme, 1952 (“Scheme“).
