Employee wellness is now a business case
The more engaged top-level leaders are in the company culture, the lower are the chances for toxicity to develop without their knowledge. Employee well-being in fact is a fundamental foundation for business growth, stability and sustainability. It is no more viewed as an extra nice but a strategic imperative.

While employee wellness is getting priority in Organisations, bullying as its counter is also prevalent. How do you define these two aspects and their presence in work culture?

RS At the outset, I wouldn’t say that bullying is prevalent in the industry in a direct/conscious manner, but it is widespread in an indirect/subconscious manner wherein the human tendencies of control, power, and survival come into play. Human fallacies of feeling and being perceived as more powerful and successful than our peers is what makes people unknowingly bully others in the process. It is a byproduct of a competitive workplace, and then in some ways, the cost paid for overall progress. Considering the high pressure and ruthless environment these days, this is not going to go away anytime soon.

Yes, this may be a situation that is prevalent in the contemporary workplace as competition gets tougher and the demands of business deliverables increasingly challenging. While on one hand organisations will need to ensure the wellness of their workforce...
