Employee has no right to retain co. accommodation on transfer or end of service: Uttarakhand HC

Uttarakhand High Court in Sunil Prasad Bhatt vs. State of Uttarakhand & others W.P No. 144/2022, on February 21, 2023 allowing the writ petition of employer seeking direction against illegal occupant of government residences for eviction and recovery of rent, observed that employees are not entitled to hold government accommodation beyond the date of transfer of retirement (without obtaining any extension, or; without making payment for their continued occupation) as the same creates difficulties for others who may become entitle to allotment of such accommodations.
