Over the last 20 years, inclusion efforts, including the inclusion of the third gender, have advanced dramatically, and many organisations have increased workplace diversity. Companies are doubling down on their inclusion efforts by expanding equitable benefits and inclusive practices. Companies around the world are implementing important benefits like domestic partner recognition and LGBTQ-inclusive healthcare benefits, as well as intensifying employee engagement efforts like expanding employee resource groups for LGBTQ workers and their allies. When compared to a generation ago, this is significant progress. Nonetheless, despite these efforts, it is unavoidable that there is still a long way to go.
