Dismissal justified for making scandalous allegations against employer: Delhi High Court

Delhi High Court in Vishav Bandhu Gupta vs. Union of India and Ors. (W.P.(C) No. 1522/2018) upheld the dismissal of an employee who was both unauthorizedly absent and made scandalous communications with the media, leading to unnecessary controversies. The Court held that continuously disparaging an employer with false and scandalous allegations undermines the employee’s right to remain in service with that employer.
