Chakan, 16th June 2023: A well-known Auto Wheel Manufacturing company based in Chakan has lodged a complaint with the MIDC Mahalunge Police Station, Pimpri Chinchwad Police, resulting in a case being registered against three individuals identified as Sachin Surwade, Arun Chikhle, and Sanjeev Ninganoor.
The accused, who are white-collar employees of the Auto Component manufacturer, have been charged under IPC sections 406, 420, and Section 43, 66 under the IT Act.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the accused allegedly engaged in data theft and pilferage of the company’s proprietary confidential information. They allegedly established a firm named “Fintech Robotic Automation & Solutions Pvt. Ltd.” through which they leaked the proprietary information to a competitor.

The complainant’s company claims to have incurred losses amounting to Rs 30 crore as a result of this pilferage. Narendra Patil, the Vice President of Human Resources of the company, filed the complaint at Mahalunge Police Station. The Mahalunge Police is currently conducting further investigations into the case.
When approached for comment, Patil confirmed the filing of the case and emphasized the importance of organizations promptly reporting such incidents to the police. He stated, “Since the police are still investigating the matter, it would not be appropriate to comment on the details of the case. However, it is crucial for organizations to approach the police without hesitation in such cases. Pilferage in any form is disastrous and must be proactively curbed with the support of the police.”
Senior Police Inspector Vasant Babar is further investigating the case.
