More diversity will mean more people from different backgrounds bringing their unique ideas, experiences, minds, and approaches to one table. They have multiple solutions and skills and there is an all-round learning and efficiency enhancement.

What is your perspective on the state of DEI in Indian Organisations? Is it limited to lip service in most of the cases to talk about and little is happening on the ground?

RK Diversity and inclusion have taken on greater importance for companies in India in recent years, with a lot of them wanting to build an equitable and diverse workplace and culture. The scenario has evolved but we still have a long way to go, diversity not only means having more female workers but also hiring employees from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds; of different sexual orientations; and with different physical abilities.

Most organisations today are creating and running with DEI as part of their workplace & have started working towards it. As per Forbes, organisations that embrace diversity are more likely to improve. There is a big need for all organisations large medium or small to start working towards this in a structured and planned way it needs to get translated from manuals and policies to actual implementation obligations....
