Companies adopt a psychological safety (PS) policy and PS observers are trained to protect employees or workmen who are bullied, victimised or insulted by their managers/employees. The underlying principle of PS is that everyone at workplace has a right to respect and care from others, and organisation shall do everything to protect the same for creating a psychologically safe milieu.
The perception of psychological safety is shaped by the reactions of other employees in the positive/proactive behaviours. The level of psychological safety perception is low when other employees react negatively to the constructive suggestions and feedbacks of the employees. The perception of psychological safety is based on interpersonal trust and support in the organisation. At times, employees have felt psychologically unsafe, alienated, helpless, psychological loneliness, and so on that can be measured accurately using psychological scales (Siddiqui and Sangwan 2022).
