The common competencies approach has many strengths. The competencies and HR systems based on them apply to a large no. of employees. There should be one consistent framework of concepts describing effective behaviours.
Technology brings skills, knowledge, process, technique, and tools together for solving problems of human beings, making their life secure and easier.
I would say that the pandemic has been an eye-opener on many fronts. It quelled many myths that we had been living with over so many years. The most important had been that we needed people/teams around us/physically present for work to happen.
