Atasi Baran Pradhan has been appointed as the Director, Human Resources (HR) of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) on Wednesday.
Pradhan has over three decades of experience serving both public and private sectors across various industries such as engineering, paper, aerospace and defence.

As the HR director of the organisation, he will also be a member of the board and will report directly to the chairman and managing director. He will be responsible for coordination and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions and administrative control within the organisation.
He joined HAL in 2005. During his tenure, he introduced IT-enabled HR systems such as personnel information systems, performance management systems and ERP. He also worked towards streamlining the contract labour system and played a key role in outsourcing non-core HR activities such as transport services, township security and more.
