Jammu and Kashmir High Court in Murad Ali Sajan & Ors. vs. UT of J&K and Ors. W.P. No. 2653/2022, on December 6, 2022,while answering the question as to whether the employer can replace a contractual arrangement with a similar arrangement observed that an ad hoc employee cannot be replaced by another ad hoc employee and he can be replaced only by another candidate who is regularly appointed by following a regular procedure prescribed.
