During second wave, exclusive smaller and dedicated support team for every 15 employees was formed keeping in mind scarcity of resources and to ensure hospital bed, oxygen, corona care kit, exclusive online medicine delivery, covid testing, ambulance and other support in the shortest possible time.

Do you feel that business leaders and HR’s focus is now back on people? What are the possible reasons for change in this paradigm shift?

SV The company’s core reason for being is the people. People was, is and will always be the focus. It is just that before pandemic, in the race to win short distance sprint, some leaders and HR manager focussed more on cost optimization at the cost of people. Each employee has their own unique challenges. Yet, during the worst crises of our life time, the way most of the employees stood by the companies to live up to its promise to customer and market is unprecedented. Let us take example of adopting digital. All sectors, all section of employees (even those who were digital nave or averse to digital) adopted digital way and hybrid way of working perfectly.
