Quiet Quitting
Every organisation needs a culture that encourages engagement and a sense of community.

The term Quiet Quitting went viral after the Wall Street Journal published an article about it, in a broad sense it refers to an approach to work of doing what’s needed but not going the extra mile. It’s negating the “Hustle Culture” that expects employees to go above and beyond.

It indicates a spectrum of behaviour when an employee stop going above and beyond and puts in only the necessary time, effort and enthusiasm.

Employees may quietly quit their employment over a period time, frequently without stating their intentions to do so, which diminishes productivity and eventually leads to turnover. The workplace has seen various changes over the past few years because of demographic changes, technological advancements, and the transition to the “new normal” after the pandemic. Although remote working and hybrid work settings have tremendously enhanced the workplace, they have also brought forth several challenges.
