On July 12, 2023, the Government of Tamil Nadu granted the public utility service status to the newsprint and paper manufacturing industry,all institutions engaged in procurement, storage and distribution of milk and manufacture of milk products and registered under the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 (from 12.7.23),fertilizer industrythe automobile tyre manufacturing industry for a period of 6 (six) months with effect from July 05, 2023.
