Ruchi Bhatia in conversation with Dr. Rajeshwari Narendran, HR expert, a renowned psycho dynamic analyst, global trainer and academician, talks about her journey from sales job to HR leadership and then solopreneuership, life vision, values quest from consistent learning. Here are Excerpts :

You are a reflection of “Don’t wait for opportunities to knock your doors rather go and create one for self.” Tell us briefly your journey from IIM Calcutta to a high-profile corporate job to creating HRGurukul and to being a mentor to Startups. I’m sure it must have been full of adventures and milestones.

RB I started working at very young straight after my college. In 2000 I walked in for an interview at GlaxoSmithKline CP office and even the parking was full with candidates. Luckily, I made it through interview and got selected for the Job. I spent 5 years at GlaxoSmithKline and was one of the youngest candidates to be promoted to management cadre.

In 2005, BPO industry was coming up in a big way, I said enough of sales job, I want to do a desk job. I restarted my career at an entry level, learnt operations, and computers and quickly in 2 years went on to manage the Workforce Analytics department, call center operations for 800 full Time FTEs. delivered business results in that role.
