There is a ping-pong game of grapevine happeningon 4 days working. Sometime there is tittle-tattle that government is considering to introduce 4 days working in the industries. Some other time there is opposite tittle-tattle that there is no such proposal.
However, whether it is happening or not, any worker will be happy to hear that there may be a possibility that they will be required to work 4 days only in a week and that they will be able to enjoy holidays of straight 3 long days in a week. However, this feeling of enjoyment will be partly reduced, when reading through the fine-prints of T & C of 4 days working, that the worker will have to work for long 12 hours shift on each day instead of existing 8 hours a day, if 4 day work is implemented.
We are passing through an era of new changes in many areas and changes in existing archaic labour laws also is contentiously on the anvil.
