On March 22, 2022, The High court of Meghalaya in Union of India and ors. vs. Dhramavir Singh W.P.C.No. 444/2020, while examining an issue where the employee has challenged his order of dismissal, observed that an order of punishment passed on the culmination of any disciplinary proceedings can be quashed by the forum only when it is satisfied that the very show-cause notice on the basis of which the disciplinary proceedings were initiated was bad.
