The study found that 80 per cent of HR professionals worldwide anticipate AI to become an essential tool in their work over the next five years. This technology is expected to free up HR personnel from routine tasks, allowing them to focus on more strategic and human-centric aspects of their roles, including building stronger relationships with candidates and colleagues, as well as engaging in creative and strategic endeavours.

LinkedIn India’s Senior Director of Talent and Learning Solutions, Ruchee Anand, emphasised the pivotal role of HR professionals in this AI-driven transformation. She stressed that skills development will be the cornerstone of thriving in an AI-powered work environment. Business leaders are urged to seize this moment to assess the skills required both presently and in the future.

The report is based on a global survey conducted by the research company Censuswide, encompassing 29,000 professionals and HR executives, including 2,045 from India. Data from job trends on LinkedIn’s platform over the past two years and the LinkedIn Executive Confidence Index, an online survey of approximately 5,000 LinkedIn members, also contributed to the findings.
